I didn’t know what I wanted this painting to be when I first started it. As I added layer after layer, it started to reveal itself to me. I paint elephants to represent resilience. I add tactile materials to create an environment that feels grounded. This piece is perfect for anchoring a room and adding earthiness.

Whatever has been done will be done
You and I are passing with the clouds
There’s nothing new under the sun
But each day Hope is renewed
And it burns bright
As sure as the day turns into dawn
We will get through the night
